Colleen and Patrick had the most amazing wedding at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Ca. However, it wasn’t the beauty of the architecture that set the tone of their wedding but the beauty of their love for each other and their family and friends. Their family was loving and hospitable to all guests in their attendance beyond anyone’s expectations. We truly enjoyed our time working with this amazing couple and we can’t wait to work with again

We had the honor and pleasure to participate in the wedding of our good friends Chris and Stephanie. Rod was selected to be one of their groomsmen and Nicole and I were selected to photograph their wedding day. They had a beautiful wedding featuring Tiffany blue dresses with a striking yellow contrast for beautiful flowers designed by Mai’s flowers. I had the sweetest time photographing Jenny and Matt this past weekend. Jenny and Matt will be getting married this upcoming spring at the Weins Family Cellars in Temecula and the venue was completely cool about us photographing their engagement session at their wedding site. Wedding History of The First Wedding Dance

The first wedding dance is interpreted with two simple yet powerful meanings. The first is the symbolic representation of two families uniting together: parents, siblings, extended families and friends.

The second meaning stems from the merging of two social family systems. Relationships are complex much like the coordination couples of moving together and apart while dancing. One can not tell what is going on with the dance if you only look closely at one partner. Instead, we need to step back and observe how each dancer influences the movements of the other.

The first dance symbolizes the unity and required coordination it will take to balance the new familial relationships in the couple’s lives. The first dance is said to originated from Eastern European immigrants who migrated to America post World War II. Over time, as more immigrants achieved middle class status the dance became mainstream to American society.

We met Bobby several years when we photographed his sister’s and our fellow college colleague wedding several years ago. One of my favorite parts of this job is watching the families grow and being able to document these special times in their lives for many years to come.
